Chapter 1
"No! Casey, don't!" I hear my mom scream as I charge past everyone almost totally transformed.
"Someone! After her! Don't let her get through!" I hear someone order, a blur of lab coats covering my eyes.
"You're sure you want to do this?" Aaron whispered to me in the back of my mind.
"Yes!" I growl back, becoming more beastly by the second.
"Then GO!" Aaron roared as he combined with me, making me surrender to my instincts.
Everything was a blur as I raced through the crowd, thoughts set on only one thing. Ropes, nets, even a smoke bomb was thrown my way, but my thoughts were set upon one thing and that wouldn't change no matter what was in front of me.
"Casey!"
I turn around, inches away from my destination, time stopping as I looked into those broken eyes.
"Do you really want to see your dad that badly?" He said, a slight hope in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Jamie" I whisper back. He flinches
"Casey! They're coming!" Aaron murmured urgency hidden in his voice . I take one last glance back, my heart breaking.
"Bye." I turn around, and jumped.
Falling, that was the first thought that crossed my mind. I snapped my eyes open, frantically looking for something to grab a hold of to stop this sickening motion and churning in my stomach. When I found none I braced myself to meet the floor at any moment. That's when the light came, a small glow, in the middle of no where. Before I was able to shield my eyes it grew, brighter, flashing, blinding me, as it swallowed me whole.

~Casey~
I woke up to the crackling of a fire, and the delicious smell of meat being cooked.
As my stomach pleads for the food I hear a nonchalant voice "So you're finally up." I spin around, bearing my teeth, ears up, giving a warning growl. I faced a pair eyes that were the shade of crimson.
"Woah, hold it, hold it, I ain't gonna hurt you" He responds, throwing his hands up, as he walks out from the darkness. When I finally take a closer look at him, I see his pale white skin that could have rivaled the moon, his bright blonde hair waving in the slight breeze, and his teeth that looked like they could pierce through anything.
"Who are you?" I snarl, trying to look as threatening as possible.
"I'm Xavier" He responds, rolling his eyes."Here, eat!" He says throwing the meat my way. "You're going to need your energy" I look at the piece of meat skeptically, examining every part of it. When I see no harm that can come from it, I scarf it down with one gulp.
"You can revert back to a human now, I'm no threat to you." He continues. When I just stand there with a clueless expression on my face, saying nothing, he gives an exasperated sigh, "Not one of those again, come on." He says walking past me.
As I try to figure out where he's going, I take a glance at our surroundings. We're in the middle of a forest, trees going on for what seems like eternity, light only occasionally peaking out from underneath the leaves. Xavier avoided all light, while I basked in the tiny spots of heaven.
"Where are we going?" I ask warily.
"To where the king of the realm lives" He says tiredly, as if he's done this a million times.
"King?" I wonder, still clueless.
"Yes, king. He's the one that watches over this realm, and make sure that everything is kept in order." He responds, as he trudges forward.
"By the way, I never got your name." He says nonchalantly.
As I started to focus my thoughts on myself, I noticed that I didn't know a lot about myself. I knew my age, name, and one name kept screaming out to me. Aaron, it seems so important, but I was absolutely clueless on what it had to do with me..
"Hello? We're moving along here, and I need your name." Xavier hollered, snapping me back into reality.
"Huh? Oh my name? uh... Casey." I answered confidently. He tenses up.
"Casey huh? Nice name." He respond barely a whisper in the wind, looking as if in deep thought.
I shrug off his response and started to run after him, feeling the wind blow through my pelt, as I happily let my instincts lead the way. I had only been on the run for a few minutes when I heard it, a quiet scuff on the ground right beside me. Before I could turn around to defend myself something flew out of the bushes, aiming for my head. That's when Xavier came in. He moved as quick as lightning, grabbed the device and threw it back the way we came.
"Come out now, you coward." Xavier hissed, turning back taking a defensive stance as an exploding sound came from a few miles away.
"Now come on, is that how you plan on treating your brother?" A voice replies, followed by a man like Xavier stepping out into the open.
"You have never been my brother." Xavier retorts. with a menacing look in his eyes.
"I'd beg to differ, but this isn't the time, nor place to have that discussion." The figure replies, as his eyes drift over me. "Now who's this lovely young she wolf in your company."
"None of your business." Xavier responds, his shoulders stiffening.
"Oh, but it is. She's every one's business." The man replies, with a mad gleam in his eye.
"I can't stay to chit chat any longer, but you may see me around more than you think Xavier." He continues slyly, slinking back into the shadows.
Xavier's eyes darkened, looking like he was about to pounce. Instinctively, I put my hand on his shoulder. "It's not worth it." I whispered right next to his ears. He spun around, his eyes wide changing from black to bright red. I hurriedly took my hand off and backed away, a pink tint coloring my cheeks.
When we both calmed down a bit we continued our trek to where ever this king was. Xavier was lost in thought while I was playing that scene over in my mind. Xavier has a brother? What does he mean by I'm every one's business?
"We're at the border." Xavier murmurs, as if talking to himself.
"Shouldn't we continue forward?" I timidly ask, still a bit shaken up from the encounter.
"No, we'll wait here till sunset." He sighs.
"Xavier? Where is this?" I question, finally summing up the courage to ask.
"This is Casius, a newly remade realm, more specifically we're on the border of the King's city." He says cautiously.
"Casius? Newly made?" I wonder
"Yes, our kind worked together on planet Sorrient to enhance this realm into what it is today.
"Our kind?" I ask, now wanting to know the full story.
"I'll start from the beginning." Xavier started.
"The current place we're in is a newly modeled realm called, Casius. Hundreds of years ago we found a portal. Much to advanced for our technology, much less the humans. Scientists examined the portal, and found that it was highly unstable Our kind worked for 100 years straight to make it safe for living things to pass through to it, but even then we didn't know if the realm was safe or not, whether the molecular structure was off, if there was any level of radiation, and in general, see if there was enough resources, or would we have to start up the ecosystem on our own. In fact, 5th anniversary of our people inhabiting Casius is in a week, there's going to be a big festival with king there. We just so happened to make it just in time." He says with a smile.
"Who is the king exactly?" I question, now even more curious than before.
"He's the hero. The first one to come in, even with all the extremes, safety issues, the health hazards." He answers with a look of respect. "He could have returned, to his wife, his kid, but he stayed for the good of all.". He chuckles, "How could I have forgotten? You have questions about yourself don't you? Why I'm pale white and eyes blood red? How I'm so amazingly handsome, with great hair? Of course you wouldn't have noticed that one, your type and my type don't attract each other that way."
As he continues to ramble on, I start to think about what he said. I did find his skin and eyes a bit different and odd. Of course I saw how he could potentially be very attractive, and I don't think that I like him that way, do I?
"Ok, but what are you? And what am I? And who's Aaron?!" I blurt out.
"One question at a time. First one, what am I? I'm a vampire. I drink the blood of almost everything, if I go in the sunlight I can get burnt or even die, and I'm fast. Faster than thought possible. My senses are heightened, and I have the reflexes of a demon. I'm a vampire, but not just any vampire. I'm an elite, one of the top. Sworn to protect the king at all costs. Sworn to protect Casius, with my life."
"What are you? Let's see, you act upon instinct, crazy possessive, heightened senses to a point, you have pointed ears, canines, predator eyes, oh and a tail. I'd say that you're a werewolf. Good thing the full moon was a few days ago, we won't have to deal with you becoming a full wolf for another few weeks now!"
"Were-wolf?" I ask
"Yep, you're definitely a werewolf, half-human half-wolf. You seem pretty calm for a were creature though, but you haven't gagged at the smell of me yet." He says thoughtfully.
"You don't smell that bad, just a little bit too sweet. You smell really familiar too." I said sniffing at him. He stiffens up slightly.
"Ok, next. Who's Aaron? That name's been bugging me since we got here!" I whined.
"Aaron? That could be your inner-wolf, but you'll learn about all that once we get in the city."
At that point a half-wolf half-human, a werewolf, came walking through the gate.
"I thought I smelled you" He grunted.
"Hi to you too, Eli." Xavier said with a smirk.
"Found another one, eh?" Eli responded with a glance my way.
"Yep, she needs a room in the Castle, and get Damion, she needs to be trained."
"Wh-" Eli was cut off by a glare from Xavier, with wide eyes he started again.
"R-right this way" He said with a slight stutter.
I glanced at Xavier, who seemed deep in thought.
"Follow him, I have some business to attend to." He says. With those last words he disappears.
Eli stares at the spot Xavier was just at with a look of disbelief, glancing at me from time to time. He clears his throat. "We should be getting along now." He says walking forwards. I follow him to the big golden gates that seemed to be the only entrance in sight. The gates open.
"Welcome to the City of Crystalena"
